Sacrifices for Success

 Good Time Management? Nah Fam

One of the most important life skills everyone needs to have is good time management. Throughout one's life, you face many opportunities where good time management is necessary. Especially in college, however, in college sometimes plans go out the window. These past couple of days, the weather has been so nice, that you forget you're at school and just want to go outside. My unfortunate experience with poor time management this past week has not been fun. Oops

Studying: All-nighter edition

Soooo, I had to deal with my own consequences. I had two big projects this week; a case presentation and an exam. I was supposed to present on the 5th, but life happens, so it got pushed back. It got pushed back to the same week that I had an exam (that I hadn't started studying yet). Big oops on my part. Anyways, the way I function with studying/prepping for schoolwork is if I have to things due in the same week, I will put all my attention and focus into the assignment that is coming up first, which I feel makes sense. So, I put all my effort into my presentation, writing it, rehearsing, and picking out my business casual outfit. I feel like it went well, people told me it went well. So, as soon as I was done and was home, I jumped straight into studying for my exam. The presentation was on Monday and the exam was on Tuesday. Since I had a lot of ground to cover, I decided to pull an all-nighter. Thankfully, my boyfriend stayed up with so I can stay on track. He also had work to get done soon, so he was happy to do
it. It was rough, I started around 8:30 pm and finished around 4:40 am. I went to sleep until 9 am and spent the rest of my day studying until it was test time. I feel like it went well. My eye bags were horrendous though. Is this healthy? No. Was it necessary? Yes. I don't do it often, but it had to be done.

Sleep, Slept, Slump

In case you're wondering, yes, I am still tired. Do I recommend? No, this is so not healthy. But at least once a year or once a semester, every college student has to deal with it. Stay in school kids.
