College Life: Sick Edition
Rough week this week:/
As I said previously, every week in college is always so different and it's hard to expect the same routine every time. For this past week, I was really thrown a wrench into my plans and had to arrange and rescheduled quite a few things. But still, no matter the situation, still got my assignments done. That being said, this blog post is a special edition, might be a little repetitive, and very little change, but that's life for you.
The Flu and You
Yep, that's right. This past couple of days (and currently right now) I have been struck with the flu. Big L on my part, I blame my boyfriend. He got the flu, but I was already with him before he found out. Anyways, now I have it and it sucks, big time. I've been eating nothing but soup, slowly dying in bed and not that many human interactions. I've been wearing a mask around my house and avoiding people because I don't want to get anyone sick, I know, I know, I'm a saint. The past couple of days have just been the same routine; Medicine, rot in bed, medicine, rot in bed, homework. Being sick is not fun, getting tested for the flu is NOT fun. I hate the nose swabby thing. Since being sick, I have not many opportunities to hang out with friends obviously, but luckily my personal nurse (boyfriend) has been taking care of me. This does put a hamper on Valentine's plans, but it's just bad timing. Also whoever created cough syrup, you're amazing. I am still very much sick with flu while typing this, so if it make come across as heated, oh well.
School in bed?
Since I was busy being sick and dying, this meant I spent a lot of time in bed, but I have school. Since all my professors were notified about my excused absence, I was still a good little scholar and emailed them all individually explaining the situation, and providing any feedback for the in-person participation, they were all thankfully understanding. Because they all know I didn't plan to be sick, but understand that I am still a student. So any homework assigned, I've just been doing it in bed. I also been keeping in contact with all group projects because it's not fair to my groupmates grade to suffer because I got sick. It's always important to make time for everything, even while you're sick.
The end?
Sorry for the shorter post this week, but being rundown with the flu, I hope you understand. Anyways, a reminder kids, always wash your hands, it's cold and flu season. Catch y'all next week <3
Hopefully you are on the mend soon!
