Week 2: Busy, Busy, Busy
Compared to last week, this week was a LOT more hectic. Besides the first full week of classes, it was also sorority recruitment week, club meetings have started, and the first market is only a week away. So a lot of prepping and getting things finalized and turning in assignments on time. It is getting a little overwhelming, but I am not stressing out completely yet, which is good. It is really helpful making time for myself and my friends.
Do I even know how to study?
At this point, I don't even know anymore. Whether it's taking notes while reading a chapter or watching a presentation, I feel like I'm just copying information and not actually retaining anything. Which always made me wonder, do I even know how to study?

Growing up, I felt like I wasn't studying right, is there a correct way to study? At this point, I don't even know. I like being busy with my classes and it's nice to finally be studying the actual topic of the class. Getting into the routine of juggling assignments and trying map out when to do what assignment is being figured out, minors errors are inevitable but it's learning experience. So, it's not too bad. Since I go to a smaller school, I tend to see the same people a lot every semester, in a lot of classes. It's like going to a local high school where everyone knows everyone. I'm not saying I know everything about them, but I know their name, I've worked with them before on group projects before. Which is both nice and not nice, it's nice because I know who is going to pull their weight in the group project and who to sit near by because it's always nice to have friends in class. Now where it's not nice is when groups are chosen for you and you get paired with someone who you know is not going to pull their weight in any way whatsoever. Which isn't nice for the present because now you have to do double the work and it especially sucks when they get the same grade even though you pulled most of the work, BUT it's a learning experience. Because in the future, in the real world, especially in your professional career, you will have to deal with people who will not pull their work on a group assignment or a big project. So gaining the experience of dealing with difficult workers can help you know how to respond in professional matter, especially since this will be your livelihood and not just a homework assignment. That was a bit of a rant, oops lol.
Sorority Recruitment & Bread
Since the semester had started that means one thing, sorority spring recruitment. Which is so much more tame than formal recruitment in the fall. Spring recruitment is informal, there are fun events and activities and it's a great way to get to know the girls.
Since new girls could come to any events, that means that house tours can happen any day and since I live in the big room, my room had to be clean clean for house tours (I was asked and said yes). I was only planning to go to 2 of 3 the events but I ended up going to all of them, they were fun. Anyways, after the events, we all liked to unwind, so one of way of doing that was putting bread in my gluten free friend's bed (sorry Elaine). We specified it was gluten free and put it on some toilet paper so no crumbs got in her bed. All good fun and yes, we did go get slushies and ice cream during the week. Gotta have fun somehow.
My "me-time" this week just consisted of bed rotting, not super exciting, but I was really busy this week, Also just a good reminder that every week is different and life isn't always consistent. Anyways, thanks for reading, see y'all next week <3
I totally agree with the busy busy busy part, I definitely feel as a college student life can often get busy. Also, heavy on the "do I even know how to study for this" often pops into my mind at times for some things.
